Coffee Blues

I hate coffee! Whether it is in the form of a candy, ice-cream, or any of its other variations – espresso, latte, etc. However, desperate times call for desperate measures. And so, I have had the displeasure of drinking double espresso once before a class, but only because I was super sleepy and could hardly keep my eyes open. I needed a caffeine fix.
I still remember the day like it was yesterday. I was sitting in class with a cup of double espresso, trying really hard to not throw it up.
Finally! The last sips! Hold breath, open mouth and gulp it down! I thought to myself.
Bad idea, for as soon as it was down my throat, I almost choked on the nasty taste.
Fortunately, my friend who was sitting on the table next to me saved me with mint tic tacs.
What a relief it was when the minty taste hit my palette and my throat was consumed with the minty cool taste of the tic tacs. There was no taste of espresso to be found! Phew!
Alas, if only life was fair. I soon realized that the coffee + mint = horrible taste in mouth!
Search for something to chew on – a mint gum, perhaps?
I scanned the room for chewing mouths! Bingo! The girls sitting next to me had a gum pack!
Mint gum located and acquired!
Lesson: If you don’t like something, don’t do it, no matter how desperate you are. Even though, the espresso did keep me bouncing off the walls all day, I rather just sleep next time.
